Our story…
In 1972, Centralia School District suffered a double levy failure, which among other cuts, resulted in loss of district funding for extracurricular activities.
Knowing this, a handful of citizens from the community stepped up to fund raise money for the district’s athletic programs. This unofficial group called themselves the Tall Tigers.
With the help of the Tall Tigers, the district was able to continue offering its full slate of athletics to its students.
Fast forward to 2020 where the Centralia School District is again experiencing a double levy failure as well as coping with lost revenue as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic . Centralia Athletic, Activities, and Facilities Foundation (CAAFF) is resurrecting the Tall Tigers, again with the goal of saving district athletic programs.
At least 25% of the proceeds from Tiger gear sales and 100% of donations support efforts to ensure that quality athletic programs remain a staple of our student’s experiences.
